Karol G just did the most Karol G thing possible. She’s mid concert, thousands of people in the crowd in Toronto, and she just stops the show to drop a bombshell. New album. Sixth studio album of her career. It’s called “No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto,” which basically means “I don’t regret feeling so much.”
She didn’t wait for some big rollout either. She grabbed the mic at Rogers Stadium mid show and just told everybody straight up that the album drops Friday, August 7. That’s barely a week’s notice. Fans in the crowd lost it on the spot, and the clip blew up online within minutes.
This is her follow up to 2025’s “Tropicoqueta,” which went to number one on the Latin charts and cracked the top of the Billboard 200 too. So the bar was already high, and she’s not wasting any time trying to clear it.
She also shared the cover art right there on the stadium screens. It’s got a moody blue tone to it and shows off her signature barbed wire heart tattoo. Simple, striking, very on brand.
Word is the album will include “Yo Aprendí,” a song she originally did years back with Cuban singer Danay Suárez, getting a new life on this project. Fans are also expecting her recent single “Matadora” to make the cut since she’s been opening her tour with it.
Speaking of the tour, this all went down during her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, which just kicked off in Chicago before rolling into Toronto. The whole run stretches through next summer, ending all the way in Milan in July 2027. So this new album isn’t a random drop, it’s about to be the soundtrack for a massive world tour that’s just getting started.
2026 has already been a huge year for her. She became the first Latina to headline Coachella back in April, and she picked up a major award in May that hadn’t been given out since Whitney Houston back in 2009. Now she’s adding a surprise album announcement to the list.
Bottom line, Karol G had a whole stadium of people locked in and used that moment to make an announcement most artists would save for a press release. That’s the kind of confidence you can’t fake. Mark your calendar for August 7.
