Bad Bunny doesn’t just make hits, he collects trophies on YouTube. He now holds the record for most music videos to hit one billion views, with nineteen of them crossing that mark. Nobody else in Latin music is even close. J Balvin comes in second and he’s still five behind.
The wildest part is how far back this streak goes. Way before he was headlining stadiums, Bad Bunny was already showing up on massive hits like “Te Bote Remix” and “Mayores,” both of which are sitting at over two billion views each. Those were early flexes of a career that hadn’t even fully taken off yet.
Then you get into the tracks that turned him into a global name. “I Like It” with Cardi B and J Balvin. “Mia” with Drake. “Dákiti” with Jhay Cortez, which spent 27 straight weeks at number one and still shows up on every summer playlist. “Callaíta” gave “Un Verano Sin Ti” its whole breezy, beachy identity before the album even dropped.
“Amorfoda” is a fun one because it’s the total opposite of his usual sound, just him and a piano, and it still crossed a billion views years after release. Meanwhile “Me Porto Bonito” with Chencho Corleone made history on its own, becoming his sixteenth entry into the club and setting a new record at the time.
And of course there’s “Tití Me Preguntó,” which became his nineteenth video to hit the milestone. The video follows a guy who loves being single until life catches up to him, and it even stars his real life girlfriend at the time as his love interest. Fitting that the track exploring commitment ended up being the one that cemented his record.
At this point it’s less about whether a Bad Bunny video will hit a billion views and more about how fast. The man has been putting up numbers like this since 2016 and shows zero signs of slowing down.
